Smith Falls CP Yard Switching

It was a cold and grey old day on the Winchester Sub, but I was in the area and decided to hang out at the Smith Falls Yard throat and do some railfanning.  Not much action on the main but the yard switcher was busy sorting cars.  Enjoy.

Modular Club Interviews

During the OVAR modular Rally I tooks some video and spoke with club members about their clubs and asked them what they would be doing at Ottawa Train Expo.  Looks like we are going to have lots of fun displaying and informing the public about the hobby on 5-6 May 2012.

The two Peters are fun and enthusiastic about running trains.  Lots of experience you can draw on.

NTRAK realy offers advantages if you like lots of modelling in a small space.

Ottawa HOTRAK Modular Rally 2012

Had a great time this weekend at the HOTRAK Modular Rally.  It was hosted by Ottawa Valley Associate Railroaders.  They ran trains for two days and had operations controlled by dispatchers and car cards.  They are going to be at Ottawa Train Expo on 5-6 May 2012.  See the details at www.ottawatrainexpo.com

Happy New Year.: 2012 here we come

Mike invited me to come out to a New Year's party.  There were a number of groups playing different styles of music.  So he suggested we should get together and jam at my house to prep the gig.  We had loads of fun, played about 10 songs together and enjoy music from three other groups including the band Mike plays lead in.  Here is a Dylan tune to ring in the New Year.
