Hurst Boiler and Welding

After returning from Cape Cod I got the modelling bug and put this Bar Mills limited edition kit together. It was an interesting build where I used water based wood stain for the colouring with bragdons and A/I and Age - it. Lots of laser cut plywood and card stock as well as an array of paper shingles and metal corrugated roof and castings. Some strip wood as well. It was somewhat complicated so I would only recommend it for the advanced modeller as most instructions for the kit were based on loose diagrams and assumed sub assembly skills and knowledge. The parts were well numbered. This will go on my diorama for shows.
