FNGers invade for an ops session

Well the first ops session for the season. Here I am at Hamer's Curve as the VIA passes the station through the crossing near the Port Coal mine.

Looking across the container terminal, Bob is backing his BNSF SD70MACs onto his 25 car coal train. He will be taking this onto the main.

Joel is peaking out from behind the cement plant as he anticipates the arrival of his container train.

Although John is yawning, Fred looks like he has those old eyes in focus as he uncouples a car in Richmond yard.

Fred is in the process of running around two center flow hoppers so that he can place them in the bakery siding. This operation is busy as he has to exchange 25 cars from the classification tracks with those at the five industries.

Jim is all done for the nigh having switched out the grain elevators, grain mill and grain terminal. He is chatting with my wife Lela as she look on.

I missed pictures of Ron, however I am sure he did not mind. Everyone had a great time. The session finished with beer, coke, cheese curds (fresh) and cake.

Althought I enjoyed your travel letters through the summer, I am very pleased to see some operations taking place on your wonderful and for me inspiring layout again!
Some greats photos there!
Best regards, Olav in Norway
