Scranton Steam Town

Scranton Steam Town was a nice step into the past but very few of their holdings were in good shape. The day we were there not one steam engine was running, the volunteers were not pleasant and as you can see most of the stuff is used for parts or is rotting in the elements. They could take a lesson from Delson in Montreal. Get stuff under cover and bring it back to life or in a few years it will not be worth saving.

Chris,

Thanks for all the pics! I was disappointed to read your review of SteamTown though... I had heard good things about it. Their approach seems sad, especially for us given that they house a great deal of Canadian steam (I counted ~5 in your pictures alone!).
