Fridaynightgroup railfan trip

What a great day. Mike, Jim, Stan, Rob, Bill and I went to Couteau Quebec to see the CN double track main line action. We then heard the Ottawa Central approach from north of the junction. They picked up some cars and headed back north. We followed them to the y where the cars were dropped then the engines (RS18s no less)continued on to Hawksbury where they stay the night before switching the industries on Monday.

Great post and great pics Chris. Yes, it was a blast railfanning the line Bill models in his basement. The crew tied up for the night in a small community just to the south of Hawksbury called Vankleek Hill. Indeed, those Alco's make us feel like we're in "Railfan Heaven!"

Sounds like a great railfan trip
Looking forward to getting home (2 weeks til I head home) and doing some railfanning myself.
Thanks for sharing the results of the outing!

Looks like the weather was an improvement over the snow in Oakville in May...! ;-)
