Ralph Dipple: We will miss you.

Ralph Dipple passed away 31 July 2011, after a twenty year battle with cancer.

A fellow railroad hobbiest and good freind, Ralph Dipple was a super guy. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Ralph enjoyed his zest for life and passion for running trains. I have fond memories of times we spent together at Ottawa Valley Garden Railrway Society.

May he rest in peace.

Ralph as yard master in Firgrove June 2009.
He loved making up trains for the Saturday Morning Ops Sessions
Here is Ralph operating Firgrove in 2010.  Earlier this year, the yard was renamed in his honour.  Dipple Yard was indeed his spot on the IPP&W.

After a long day of running trains, Ralph is enjoying a cold one during the American Invasion of 2009.

Here is Ralph with his good freind Bud at the morning briefing prior to the ops session.  Sporting their safety vests they are humouring about a statement Gord made.

He will be greatly missed by all of us.
