Springfield Here we come

My buddies and I hit the road last week for Springfield Mass for the Amhurst Model Railroad Show. This show covers four buildings and has hundreds of vendors and layouts. On the way we stopped in North Adams to see Dick Elwell's Hoosac Valley Railroad. He was a great host and the boys and I had a great time admiring his workmanship. So this first installment is of this great adventure where you can see his fantastic scenic techniques and structure building skills.

Now this has been one of the most amazing railroads I have ever visited. The sense of space and attention to detail blends this masterpiece into a 3D artistic wonderland. Hope you enjoyed the photos.

Wow! That is an amazing layout! What an eye for detail - plus the ability to bring it to life. Simply astounding!

Thanks for sharing. Does he have a web site?
