Visit to the Chambord & Port Alfred Railway
I had the opportunity to go visit Pierre Lamontagne in Cornwall Ontario. He was kind enough to let me interview him and see his Chambord & Port Alfred Railway in operation. His railway depicts the Roberval Saguenay and portions of the Canadian National Railway in the Saguenay/Lac-St-Jean region of Quebec.
The era for this HO railway is 1941. Canada is a major part of the war effort and they have opened the deep sea port, Port Alfred, on the Saguenay in support of the IS "Lend-Lease programme. The railway is at full capacity moving Aluminiuum, forest products as well as manufacturing and agricultural commodities.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for sharing Pierre's fine modelling efforts - a very attractive layout and plausible prototype.
I always love to see the Superior Bakery kits in a kitbash, as Pierre has done in building his paper mill pictured in your post. One of my favourite kits.
Eric
