OVAR Rrailfan Trip 1987

This beta video recording was edited by me in honour of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Ottawa Valley Associated Railroaders (OVAR).  Taken during a 1987 railfan trip to the CN Pointe Saint-Charles Wheel Shops in Montreal.  Lots of exciting action that will please railfans and modelrailroaders alike.

The wheel Shops are very interesting and now to move on to the locomotive repair shops.

The locomotive repair footage is classic as you see everything from frames to motors.  Men and machine.  Lots of sounds and action.,

This final video shows the truck and car shops as well as some yard scenes with the dead track full of locomotives and rolling stock.

Grain Terminal Operations 

Grain Empties dropped in Shelby Yard track two

Coal drag arrives with loads from the Port mine

Port Coal Mine action.  The Coal Drag enters the inside main after the mixed freight passes,  Then proceeds across to the inside main and into the station tracks at Shelby.

Mainline action on the LVN shows coal, double stacks and mixed freight in action.  lots of discussion to ensure all trains can carry out their orders.
